General Management
The demands of today’s business environment often mean that the owners of small and medium sized companies sometimes need that “extra something”, which they may not have in-house. It could be that you feel the need to change, but are finding how to do it really hard; or you want to grow, but are not sure how; or maybe you just want an objective viewpoint or someone to act as a sounding board. Willowside can offer practical help for problems like this, based on personal experience. Whether you feel this could best be resolved by taking on a Non-Executive Director or using some real hands-on help, just ask us – we have been there and know what it feels like.

Banking
We help small and medium sized companies with banking and related finance issues. We have a 13 year track record as specialists in working capital and Clearing Bank facilities and are full members of The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB), whose code of conduct we full adopt.

Our work involves negotiating with banks on behalf of clients on a wide range of issues, which include ongoing negotiations over borrowing limits as well as more unusual requests, such as letters of credit and bonds. We are able to work with over 50 different factoring and invoice discounting companies and can provide solutions to most types of working capital problems.

Accountancy - Accounting, Tax and Statutory Reporting
The sophistication of the financial world places ever increasing demands on the level of support that businesses need in these complex areas, and very often the in-house accountant / bookkeeper will be out of their depth, and expert ad-hoc help will be required.

As a result, we have developed close working relationships with a number of firms of accountants and are able to assist you in outsourcing expertise in accounting, tax, payroll, VAT, budgeting etc. at competitive rates. Alternatively, we can provide you with a part-time finance director on either a project or ongoing basis.

Translation and Project Management
Our translation and localisation consultant has nearly 20 years experience in the industry. A native speaker of German, he specialises in the localisation of IT systems in application areas as diverse as office systems, communication networks, computer-aided training, manufacturing control, finance, human resources, telecommunications and many others. He also provides consultancy services for organisations, which have translation requirements but are unsure how to fulfil them.
