Steve Hodge

Steven Hodge has joined Willowside as an Associate. He brings deep first hand knowledge of business improvement and business establishment implementations in culturally diverse and difficult situations. He is a natural problem-solver with more than 18 years experience of change management, risk management, stakeholder management, project management, and information management within the financial services, telecoms, service delivery, technology, and networking sectors. Steven works across all business areas to drive goal achievement and improve profitability in current and new markets. He has a wide international experience including residential periods in Germany, Hong Kong, Russia, and the United States of America. He is a fluent German speaker and holds a UK passport.

Steven lived and worked in Germany for a total of twenty years. During this time he worked as a project manager for companies such as Brown Boveri und Cie (now ABB), Honeywell-Bull, and Tandem Computers Inc. In 1996 Steven started working with the Tandem subsidiary in Austria to establish and build their branch in Moscow. This involved growing sales and support capabilities, hiring and training local staff (27), and managing the business and P&L for a period of three years. Later, on behalf of Compaq Computer GmbH in Germany, Steven spent two years as the crisis and relationship manager for Deutsche Telekom.

Currently Steven is involved with improving the effectiveness of information within companies by extracting more from their available resources, systems, and people. Steven has formed companies in Germany, Russia, and the UK and currently sits on the Berkshire Committee of the Institute of Directors.
